Hochheim, Germany: Technogroup IT-Service GmbH continued to extend its market leadership in 2016. After acquiring Econocom Managed Services AG, the leading German IT-service provider also took over IT maintenance and services specialist tradefinity maintenance GmbH, a company with branches in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
Overall, the company’s turnover in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) increased by 11.3% on the previous year, to €31.5 million. Close to 90% of this growth stemmed from term-bound service contracts. Technogroup’s subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland furthermore achieved excellent results, recording double-digit growth.
Client Service Enhancements in 2016
In 2016 data-centre expert Technogroup opened its sixth European office in Leipzig, the largest city in the federal state of Saxony and Germany’s tenth most populous. The Leipzig branch joined Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. Together, these branches ensure optimum customer service and satisfaction and strengthen Technogroup’s high service standards further.
Today, 240 staff members in 36 local service centres support 4,000 customers.
Over 290 system-house partners are integrated into the Technogroup network, a considerable increase from 2015. This network allows for maximum customer proximity and therefore above-average response times.
Introduction of Shared Services
2016 saw the addition of Shared Services to Technogroup’s offering. Its seven power modules allow companies to perform IT operations without outsourcing them, allowing Technogroup’s clients to retain their IT function in-house. Customers have complete control over which IT tasks Technogroup’s experts will perform, and which should remain with staff members in the client’s company.
“Technogroup’s Shared Services make IT outsourcing redundant. This particular IT service couldn’t have been more ideal for us, as the concept contributed 10% of our total turnover in its first year,” says Claus Fischer, founder and managing director of Technogroup.
After a successful 2016, this year will see Technogroup venturing into new industries such as the banking and insurance sectors. Further areas the company will focus on are IT medicine, public services, energy, and POS checkout systems.
Claus Fischer sums up 2016, saying that “generally it’s a major challenge to integrate new companies, but Technogroup coped exceptionally well. It’s apparent over and over again that colleagues and staff members are key for the successful development of a company. In the past 15 months, we attracted over 70 new, qualified and motivated staff members. This strategy will guarantee our continuous growth in 2017.”
